The Doors fue una banda estadounidense de rock psicodélico activa entre 1965 y 1973, laspo en el cual editaron seis discos de estudio. Se estima que ha vendido más de 100 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, convirtiéndola en una de las más populares.

Con letras osadas y controvertidas, supieron ganarse un lugar importantísimo en la década de los '60; rompieron muchas barreras legales en las que se vio mayormente involucrado su cantante James Douglas Morrison, más conocido como Jim Morrison, quien con su poesía compuso grandes obras que quedaron para siempre en la historia. 

Después de su extraña muerte en 1971, la banda quedó disuelta, pese a lo cual se editaron tres discos más sin Morrison; pero sin dudas la etapa más fructífera tuvo lugar durante su liderazgo.
